Editor’s Picks: The Best Branded Products From Super Bowl Sunday 2022

There’s a lot to look forward to every year on Super Bowl Sunday: Delicious game day food, the star-studded halftime show,out-of-the-box commercials and of course the nail-biting game.

Early last week, data from Predict HQ projected that Sunday’s game would reach a record audience, attracting 117 million viewers to NBC. Compared to the 2021 Super Bowl, that’s a 21% increase.

To commemorate the historic game and connect with millions of consumers, companies relied on branded products to create novelty souvenirs, including many that were central components of sprawling advertising campaigns that spent upward of $6 million for a 30-second commercial during the broadcast. While some brands offered digital collector’s items—including the NFL itself—classic promo still scored big this year.

Here are five brands that used promo products this Super Bowl.

The NFL

For fans, the NFL is the go-to place for game day merch. The league’s online store currently has Los Angeles Rams gear on full display. Consumers can choose from collectibles like signed footballs and bobble-heads to everyday wear like hats and t-shirts, as well as commemorative DVDs and Blu-ray discs.

Bud Light

Bud Light is telling fans to ‘stock up’ on Super Bowl Champion merch. From koozies to glassware, the company has an entire section of branded merch, celebrating the Rams’ victory over the Bengals. In a social media sweepstakes that connected to the “Loudest Flavors Ever” launch of its new hard soda seltzer line, Bud Light also offered fans a chance to win a branded fridge.

Michelob ULTRA

As a cherry on top, Michelob ULTRA paired a collection of merchandise with its Super Bowl commercial. The commercial takes place in a bowling alley, inspiring all the products like the ugly bowling alley shoes. End users can choose products like a satin bomber jacket or retro-looking bowling socks.

Cincinnati Bengals

While they aren’t Super Bowl champs, the Cincinnati Bengals still had a remarkable season in reaching the game’s biggest stage for the first time since 1988. Bengals fans can show off their beloved team and players in beanies and sweatshirts. These items are perfect for the forever fan. As for the unused gear that was printed in case the Bengals won, it will be donated to needy areas around the world
